3pm · Check in
Check-in opens at 3pm. If the room isn't ready, register anyway: Crown stores your bags and the front desk calls or texts when it is. Use the wait for coffee at Vista'Mare in the lobby.
4pm · Open the curtains
Find your view while it's still daylight. If you booked the Opera or Harbour Bridge side, this is the hour to see the landmarks in sun.
5pm · Spa or tennis
Crown Spa on level 6 runs until 7pm. The open-air tennis court is open to hotel guests until 9pm.
6pm · Pool
The level 5 pool turns adults-only at 6pm and closes at 9pm. Swim while the lights come on along the shore.
7pm · Headland at dusk
Change and walk north along Wulugul Walk: about five minutes to Barangaroo Wharf, then roughly ten more to the reserve, per the precinct.
8pm · Dinner
Book ahead: a'Mare or Woodcut at the waterline, Nobu from Wednesday to Sunday, or Golden Century, which runs late at weekends.
10pm · One drink higher up
CIRQ on level 26 if you booked it two months ago; Teahouse on level 3 if you didn't.
11pm · The bath
Back upstairs, blinds open, egg-shaped bath. This is what you paid for.
Follow the morning after
7am · Gym or walk
The gym is open 24 hours. Or walk the promenade before it fills with office workers.
8am · Breakfast
Epicurean on level 5, nine live kitchens, breakfast until 10:30am with a one-hour dining time. Sacrebleu on the ground floor from Wednesday if you'd rather have a canelé.
10am · Pack
Check-out is at 11am. Late check-out isn't available Friday to Sunday or at busy times; on other days ask about a fee on 1800 808 878.
11am · Leave the bags
The Bell Service Desk stores luggage after check-out, so you can keep walking.
Add a second day
Morning · The Rocks
Walk the water route to Circular Quay, about 1.9 kilometres and flat, past Walsh Bay and under the bridge.
Midday · Ferry back
Catch an F3 or F4 to Barangaroo Wharf; the approach shows you the tower from the water.
Afternoon · Sky Deck
If you got a place on the first of last month, now's the time. It's free and lasts 30 minutes.
Evening · The other side of the menu
Second night, the restaurant you didn't choose on the first: Nobu, Golden Century or Epicurean.
Adjust for the day of the week
Monday and Tuesday: Nobu is closed for dinner, Sacrebleu doesn't open, and CIRQ doesn't open on those nights. Plan a'Mare, Woodcut or Golden Century instead. Friday and Saturday: CIRQ runs until 1am, Golden Century from 11am to 11pm, and late check-out isn't offered. Sunday: CIRQ closes at 9pm, Woodcut's last dinner sitting ends earlier, and surcharges of up to 15 percent apply in several venues.
Ask for the room that fits the plan
This plan works from any room. It works best with the blinds open on the Opera House or the bridge. Tell us your dates and the side you want, and we'll check what's free.
