Gather the group by the water, then send them upstairs

A wedding, a work dinner, a birthday with forty friends. Here are Crown's rooms, their published capacities, and the house rules that shape the budget.

The two Pearl Ballroom figures come from two different Crown pages and describe different layouts. We print both and let the events team tell you which applies to your plan.

Match the room to the occasion

  1. A ceremony in the open air

The Pavilion sits beside the resort pool and takes 40 for a ceremony or a cocktail party. On a clear evening it is the most Sydney thing in the building.

  2. A dinner for a few dozen

The Opal Suite seats 36 with a view towards Darling Harbour, the right size for a rehearsal dinner or a board dinner.

  3. A conference day

The Crystal rooms take 10 to 100 people each, with a large pillarless foyer for breaks and a reception of up to 250.

  4. The big night

The Pearl Ballroom divides into three, so it works for a 120-person dinner as well as a full room.

Know the house rules before you budget

Crown's events pages set out several rules that matter.

  • Catering is in-house. No external food or drink and no external caterers. A celebration cake is the exception, with a signed waiver.
  • No room discount for event bookers. Crown states that event bookings don't come with a hotel discount, so price rooms separately.
  • Flowers come through Crown's florist, Poho, per the weddings page.
  • The kitchen is led for events by culinary director Sarah Briegel, according to Crown.

Book the rooms for the guests

This is where we come in. If your guests need rooms on the night, send us one request with the dates, the rough number of rooms and the mix of views. A block of Harbour Bridge Twin rooms sleeps four each; a Tower Suite gives a wedding party a shared living room for getting ready. We check what Crown Towers Sydney has and come back with options.

For the event itself, deal with Crown directly: +61 2 8871 6435 or events@crownsydney.com.au, both published on Crown's site.

Think about the evening after

After a ballroom dinner, a group will want somewhere to go. CIRQ takes groups of 11 or more by email booking; Teahouse's birdcages seat up to twelve. Both are covered on our bars page.

Ask our desk for a room

Tell us the nights. We check what Crown Towers Sydney has and reply by email with options. A request, not a booking.

Commission is paid by the hotel or booking partner only when a request becomes a confirmed stay. How that works.
