Know what we collect
When you send a room request, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, arrival and departure dates, number of guests, preferred room, the kind of stay, any notes, your consent tick, and the address of the page you sent it from. When you email us, we receive your message and address.
We don't collect anything else about you. This site sets no cookies of its own and loads no analytics, tag manager or advertising scripts.
Know why we collect it
We use your request for one purpose: to check availability and rates with Crown Towers Sydney or a booking partner and reply to you. If the request becomes a confirmed stay, we keep the record we need to account for the commission. We don't add you to a mailing list and we don't sell or rent your details.
Know who sees it
- Our booking desk reads every request.
- The hotel or a booking partner receives the details needed to check or confirm your stay, and only when you've asked us to go ahead.
- Our hosting providers carry the data: the site runs on a DigitalOcean server in Sydney, Australia, and is served through Cloudflare. Email to hello@barangaroonights.com is forwarded through Cloudflare's email routing to the mailbox our desk reads. Cloudflare and DigitalOcean are US companies and may process data outside Australia.
Know what Google sees
The maps on this site are Google Maps. On the home page the map loads only when you press the button. On the getting-here page it is embedded and loads as you scroll to it. When a Google map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. Links to Google Maps directions open Google's site.
Use your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email hello@barangaroonights.com. We keep request records only as long as we need them to answer you and to account for a confirmed stay, and we delete them on request where the law allows.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Keep it secure
Every page and form is served over HTTPS. The request form has a hidden field that catches automated spam; it doesn't record anything about you. We never ask for card details in a form or by email.
