Know why one hotel gets a whole site
Most hotel guides give a tower like Crown Sydney a paragraph. That's not enough to answer the questions guests actually ask: which room faces the Opera House, which restaurant needs booking on the first of the month, whether the pool is open after dinner, how far the walk to the ferry really is. One hotel, read closely, takes a site.

We work from the hotel's own pages first: room pages, venue pages, the getting-here page, the casino membership and PlaySafe pages. Then the Barangaroo precinct's site for the waterfront and the reserve, Transport for NSW for the airport line, and GambleAware NSW for help services. Wikipedia appears only as a labelled secondary source.
Every fact we print sits in a dated file with the address of the page it came from. When Crown's own pages disagree with each other, we print the more specific page and tell you about the conflict. When something isn't published, we say "not published" rather than filling the gap.
Know what we won't publish
- Guest reviews we wrote ourselves, or quotes from people we can't name.
- Star ratings of our own.
- Prices we haven't seen on an official page, and none without the date we saw them.
- Anything that reads as an invitation to gamble. The casino gets a factual page and a responsible gambling page beside it.
- Photographs passed off as the hotel. Our pictures are illustrations and say so.
Know the people side
We started Barangaroo Nights in 2026. We are not a large publisher and we don't claim a readership we haven't earned. The site is independent of Crown Resorts and of Crown Sydney. Our income is explained on who funds us.
