Open the curtains in the Studio

A wide entryway leads into one large room with living and dining space and the king bed facing the glass. Crown's own line is that you can open the curtains and take in the view from bed, which is the whole point of the layout. There's a walk-through dressing area between the room and a generous bathroom with an egg-shaped bath, two vanities and a walk-in rain shower.

The Studio faces the bay, like the Deluxe King, but gives you 13 more square metres and a proper living area. Crown also lists component-room capability, subject to availability, which is worth asking about if you're travelling with others.

Sink into the Opera Studio

Seventy-two square metres facing the Opera House. Crown describes a sun-filled sofa, a curved lounge chair and an egg-shaped bath placed in the middle of the ensuite rather than against a wall. That bath is the reason to book it. The room page carries the construction note, so ask about the outlook when you request.

Choose between them

Pick the Studio if you want space and calm water and don't need a landmark. Pick the Opera Studio if the Opera House is part of the reason you came, and if you'd rather have one big room than a suite with a separate bedroom. For a closed bedroom door, go to the suites.

Count the inclusions

Both list Grown Alchemist amenities, Crown Towers robes and slippers, Frette linen on a custom king bed, a glass-top dining table, a personal bar and fridge, 24-hour room service, a Nespresso machine with complimentary pods and tea, an in-room tablet for blinds, lights and dining, a safe, individual temperature control and complimentary wireless internet.
