Work backwards from your dates
Say you're staying on a Saturday in late March. Sky Deck places for March open on 1 February at noon. Yoshii's seats open on the first of the month at noon as well; Crown's page doesn't say how far ahead each release reaches, so check it on 1 February and again on 1 March. CIRQ opens two months ahead, so tables for late March appear on 1 January. If you book the room in December, you've already missed nothing; book the room in late February and CIRQ may be gone.
Understand why it's like this
All three are small. Yoshii's Omakase has ten seats. Sky Deck is a guided tour with a limited number of places. CIRQ is mostly outdoor terrace with limited indoor seating. Releasing places on a fixed day spreads them fairly, and it rewards people who plan.
Keep a plan B
CIRQ warns that weather affects it and that it may not be able to move you indoors. Sky Deck may be cancelled in high wind or rain. Yoshii's can't change its menu for dietary needs. For each, there's an easier option in the same building:
- Instead of CIRQ: Teahouse on level 3 or Vista'Mare on the ground floor, both open daily.
- Instead of Yoshii's: Nobu next door, open Wednesday to Sunday.
- Instead of Sky Deck: a room on the Opera or Harbour Bridge side, where the view comes with the bed.
Don't forget the room
None of these releases holds you a room. If your evening depends on a date, ask for the room first; then set the reminders. Our request form takes a minute, and we reply by email.
